It's About Power - 6/10/09
There seems to be a trend going on in my internet activity lately. A few weeks ago I watched part of a documentary about the New World Order which was fascinating, if a little paranoid, and today I read a few chapters in a book called the Occult Technology of Power, which talks about finance capitalism and the elite....who are the invisible puppet masters in our civilization. They have control over us because almost all of our actions in our society stem from our desire for money. And what is money if not power? But no matter how much the proletariat earns throughout our working lives, we will never truly have the power that THEY possess because they hold all the cards. It doesn't matter how rich we may one day become; the economic model is their creation. . and subsequently we are all subject to their control.
They. The elusive them. The Illuminati, the Elite, the Powers that Be, the Shadow Men, the Agents, Demons, Archons, the Demiurge, the NWO, the Shape-Shifting Reptiles from the 4th Dimension, the Greys, the Ultra-terrestrials, the Jinn, the monsters from fairytales, the conspiracy, the bad guys, THE MAN! The fuckers that keep us down. They're in charge of this world, and I sometimes feel completely powerless to do anything about it. Which I am, and which is EXACTLY HOW THEY WANT US TO FEEL!
Some of us intuitively know about their existence, but they've programmed us to not care. To be apathetic to our plight. To not give it much thought, and when we do, to make us feel angry or tired, turning to alcohol, drugs, food, sex, or sleep to escape the hopelessness of our predicament. To amuse ourselves with base, arbitrary pleasures which have no significance or discernible reward, such as games and sports. Distraction piled ontop of distraction. Information is readily available to most of us, and truth is available to all who seek it...but they make it so that wisdom is mixed in with misinfo, propaganda, fallacies, distortions, and outright lies and very little of value can be gleaned from any of it unless you're perceptive enough to see it. But too many are blind, lacking the will or the energy to wade through the drivel for the nugget of truth. And so most of us are lost, deluded in our misguided beliefs which were handed down to us by our parents, teachers, politicians, and churches.
They inundate us with advertisements in every facet of the media, to keep the economy pumping and thus the heart of their system operational. They poison us with the things we eat, the liquids we drink, and even the very air we breathe. They're in charge of the Banks, the Energy and Food Industries, the HMO's, Big Pharma, Big Oil, the "War" on Terror/Drugs/etc. They engineered the mortgage crisis for their own petty, incomprehensible reasons, and they're keeping us in a state of perpetual fear and utter exhaustion because that is how we are easiest to control. They've fabricated both Religion and Government to appease the masses with meaningless rhetoric and empty promises of freedom and salvation. Religious institutions and politics seem to be humanitarian efforts, fostering solidarity, empowerment, and hope within the population. Conversely, they subjugate our will, dampen our spirits, and mitigate our true potential. Almost every endeavor outside of artistic creation and personal betterment seems to be specifically tailored to benefit THEM in ruling us without our knowledge, and even those of us who are fully aware of how "deep the rabbit hole goes" don't seem to have any idea what they can DO about it.
Except for me. I have a thought. It may not be the answer, but i think it's worth investigating. We have to try. Those of us who can feel the prison, who know that we're not truly free; we have to do SOMETHING, because this burden of knowledge is the first step into overthrowing their rule and leaving their jurisdiction forever.
Jesus knew how. He went out into the desert for forty days and nights and was tested by "the Devil". There, he overthrew His temptations and bested the foul beast with perfect courage. This was an extraordinary achievement for the Son of God, but I think every one of us can accomplish the same thing if we deliberately attempt such an endeavor. It does take an incredible amount of resolve, but the rewards are eternal...because once you've stopped playing THEIR game, you can begin to live life on your OWN terms.
Power. Having it seems to differentiate "us" from "them". They keep us powerless and are themselves empowered by their ceaseless machinations. Old adages generally have a bit of truth in them, and the saying "The Love of Money is the Root of all Evil", keeps coming to mind. Maybe Evil does use the Capitalist System as a means of controlling this world, through the concept of incentive, the fear of limited resources, and by justifying selfish behavior and untold atrocities in the name of financial gain. Since Money is Power, and Power is what constitutes the existence of Evil, there's only one way to properly rebel against the Powers that Be with any hope of defeating them in your life. It's not with other power, whether yours, your Gods, or spiritual aids. You cannot fight fire with fire, and approaching this Monstrosity with a butter knife is entirely pointless when you realize that they have a Death Star at their command. No power within the universe can overcome this villainy, because they ARE Power. The totality of their influence and control is due to the unmitigated, all-encompassing power they exert over the Other, and so we are defenseless against their tyranny UNLESS we abandon that which has been enslaved. The easiest way we can accomplish this is by DYING, as their rule only reaches across the mortal coil here on Terra Earth. However, there's another method which doesn't require the death of the organic vehicle we lovingly refer to as 'our body'. We have to kill our ego.
We have to shed our sense of identity completely, for it is THAT which is trapped in a constant state of desire and suffering, and thus it is that which is held captive by our Demonic Overlords. The Buddha was well aware of this, as he stated that desire is the root of all suffering. But we as spiritual beings do not innately desire. If we are hungry, we seek food. If we are bored, we play. If we are tired, we sleep. Desire is the longing for that which we do not have, but which we believe would benefit or complete us if we did. It's lust can never be sated, it's thirst; never be quenched. Desire is impossible to fulfill for it is the ego looking outward for something to validate it's worth. But no matter how much stuff we own, or how many experiences we have, we'll never appease the ego because the ego is simply not who we are. It is a tool which we have mistakenly deluded ourselves into thinking is our true selves. But take away the ego, and our bodies will still exist, as will our souls, and our experiences on this earthly plane will continue, possibly with greater clarity and renewed vision.
The ego may well be the quintessential device that the Powers That Be have engineered so that we're all selfish, desire-driven sheep. But all it takes is a conscious decision on our part to change our idea of who we are. To let go of the notion that we're merely the sum of our past memories, and that our preferences, desires, and recollections are the totality of who we are as individuals. We are the unseen seer, the one who experiences, not the one who thinks about the experiences. Let us collectively, and with concerted effort, try to remember WHO WE ARE, so that we can shake off the chains that the Ego has imprisoned us with these great many years. Perhaps then we can awaken to mastery, over ourselves and over our lives, and transcend the confines and limitations of our earthly experiences.
